The State Fair of Texas is back September 25 through October 18, and Fair Park traffic will be as rough as ever. If your group is headed to see Big Tex this fall, skip the parking mess. Imperial Charters runs State Fair of Texas group transportation from Mansfield, Arlington, Fort Worth, and everywhere else in DFW. One bus. One pickup time. Everybody rides together and nobody circles a parking lot for an hour. We are based in Mansfield, TX, about 30 minutes from Fair Park, and we own and operate our own buses. Call (214) 414-9041 and we will get your date on the calendar.
Why groups charter a bus to the fair
Fair Park sits just east of downtown Dallas. On a fair Saturday, the roads around it crawl. Official lots fill up by late morning. Third party lots charge whatever they want. If your group shows up in 15 separate cars, you will spend the first hour of your fair day looking for each other by the front gate.
A charter bus fixes all of that. Your group loads at one spot. Your driver handles I-30 and the Fair Park drop off zones. You step off the bus near the gate, spend the whole day eating corny dogs and riding the Texas Star, and your bus is waiting when you are done. No designated drivers. No parking receipts to expense. No headcount problems.
We also hear this one a lot: grandparents and younger kids do a lot better when the day starts and ends with a comfortable seat instead of a half mile walk across a parking lot. A motorcoach has climate control, a restroom on board, and room for strollers and coolers underneath.
Who we drive to the State Fair
Schools ride with us for fair field trips. October is prime time for ag programs, FFA chapters, and band days at the fair. Teachers get every student on one vehicle with one headcount instead of a caravan of parent drivers.
Churches book fair day trips for youth groups and senior ministries. If your congregation is already planning fall activities, the fair pairs well with the retreat season. We drive fall church retreats all over DFW too, so plenty of churches book both trips in one call.
Companies use the fair as a team outing. It beats another catered lunch in a conference room. We pick up at your office in Arlington, Fort Worth, or Dallas, and your whole team rides together. If your company already uses us for [LINK to Corporate page] corporate shuttles and events, a fair trip works the same way.
Senior groups and retirement communities love a weekday fair trip. Lighter crowds, cooler mornings, and door to gate service.
How a fair day trip works
Simple. You tell us your pickup spot, your group size, and the day you want to go. We quote it flat, no surprise fees. On fair day, your driver arrives early, loads your group, and takes the best route in based on traffic that day. Drop off happens close to the gate.
Your driver stays with the bus. When your group is ready to leave, whether that is mid afternoon or after the evening fireworks, the bus is there. If you want a two stop day, say dinner in Deep Ellum on the way home, tell us when you book and we will build it into the schedule.
What a State Fair charter costs
Every quote depends on three things: where we pick you up, how long you keep the bus, and the day of the week. A weekday school trip from Mansfield costs less than a Saturday evening run from Frisco. Most fair trips run as a day rate with the driver, fuel, and mileage included. Call (214) 414-9041 and we will give you a real number for your exact trip, usually the same day.
One thing we will tell you straight: a charter bus almost always beats the total cost of parking, gas, and mileage for a big group driving separately. Split a bus 40 ways and do the math.
Book now. October Saturdays go first.
The fair runs 24 days. The two middle Saturdays sell out our calendar first every single year, and this year the Cowboys are playing at AT&T Stadium on some of those same weekends. Fair traffic plus game traffic is real. If your group wants a Saturday, call this month. Weekday dates have more room but school field trip season is also underway, so those fill too.
We are 15 minutes from AT&T Stadium, so if your fall plans include a game day, we run [LINK to Sporting Events page] Cowboys game charters out of the same yard.
Why ride with a Mansfield operator
We are not a broker. When you book with Imperial Charters, we are not matching you with some other company’s bus and driver. We own the buses. We employ the drivers. We answer the phone. That matters at 10 pm at Fair Park when 40 people are ready to go home.
We are DOT certified, licensed, and insured, with a 5.0 rating on Google. We are based at 1671 E Broad St in Mansfield, and our home base page has more on everything we run locally: [LINK to /charter-bus-mansfield-tx/].
